LG is very quick when it comes to product launches, already revealing what they’re bringing next year. Aside from a few handsets, they’re also preparing a set of laptops, which have just leaked under the Gram branding.
The LG Gram notebooks are actually ultraportable models, that weigh around a kilo or so, which explains the name. The next gen 2017 units will be even lighter, at 940 grams, which means around 2.1 pounds. LG will add a few extras, like a fingerprint scanner built into the touchpad and a Thunderbolt 3 port, that will serve to output video, charge the device, charge other devices and do transfers.
The LG Gram 2017 generation will come with 3 different diagonals: 13.3 inches, 14 inches and 15.6 inches. Each of them will have the same basic specs, including the Core i5 CPU or Core i7 Kaby Lake options, support for up to 512 of SSD storage and Full HD IPS screens. Then there’s WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.0, USB Type C ports and HDMI output for 4K displays.
The entry level models will come with 34.61 Wh batteries, but bigger units have 60 Wh batteries.
