According to the leaks, the new iPad Air will bring a fully-laminated display produced by TPK, GIS, Sharp, Samsung and LG. With such a technology, the new iPad Air will be a lot thinner than the actual one. Also, is expected that the quality of the screens to be improved. Getting to design, we find out that we’ll get just minor changes that won’t be very easy to notice at first glance.

In terms of size, the iPad Air 2 will be with 0.5 mm thinner than the current version, and it will also be among the thinnest tablets available on the market. Like we saw on the iPhone 6, the speaker grille is placed just on a single row and not two, a feature that we’ll find on the iPad Air 2 too. We’ll get redesigned volume and mute buttons that will blend with the form of the case. Unlike the actual iPad tablets, the iPad Air 2 will be available in gold variant too.

Apple will also bring some camera improvement, more precisely a 8-megapixel rear sensor and a FaceTime HD front-facing camera. In the inside we’ll find the Apple A8 processor, 2 GB of RAM memory, and three different storage options: 32, 64 and 128 GB variants. As some rumors already revealed, iPad Air 2 will offer a Touch ID fingerprint scanner and NFC for Apple Pay.
