Apple held an event this week related to its latest Air products, but also unveiled a new affordable iPad. Some call it the iPad 11, some the iPad (2025). It comes with an Apple A16 processor, but no Apple Intelligence. Here’s all you need to know about it.
This is basically a minor specifications bump from the 2022 model of the device. iPad (2025) uses a lower specced version of the Apple A16 processor, which debuted in 2022, with the iPhone 14 Pro series. The A16 chip inside the iPad (2025) features one less CPU and GPU core compared to that CPU. Apple didn’t exactly detail the RAM amount, but seeing the lack of Apple Intelligence, I’d say it’s less than 8 GB of RAM.
The base storage starts at 128 GB now, instead of the 64 GB of the predecessor. There’s also a 16 core Neural Engine on board of this CPU, so some AI features may be present. Another novelty is the Bluetooth 5.3 support, which replaces the 5.2 version of the previous gen model. Other specs include an 11 inch 60 Hz IPS LCD display, a Liquid Retina one, as well as dual 12 megapixel cameras and a Touch ID sensor, that’s integrated in the Power button.
iPad (2025) is available in silver, blue, pink and yellow. The 128 GB Wi-Fi only unit is priced at $349, while the cellular version is $499. Delivers start on March 12.
