Recently, Brian Kraznich, chief executive of Intel, unveiled the fact that the IT giant plans to merge its mobile and tablet division with the part of the company that makes processors for computers. By taking such a decision, Intel expects that the loss encountered in mobile division to disappear once with the annexation to the PC group.
According to a spokesperson, at the moment, Intel will try to accelerate the implementation and to create some efficiency so that we can move even faster in this world. Is expected that the annexation of the mobile and tablet division to the PC group to be made early next year.
From the latest public numbers of Intel, it seems that the mobile division recorded in the 3rd quarter almost $1.04 billion in loss, while the revenues declined from $353 million last year to just $1 million this year in the 3rd quarter.
