Intel is only one of the big brands getting involved into the whole education thing, that other device and product makers have entered. They’ve got two very interesting slates, a 10 incher and 7 incher, both dubbed Intel Education Tablets.
They’ve got e-reader software, a multitouch display and Intel Education Software. The 7 inch model comes with an Intel Atom Z2420 1.2 GHz processor, 1 GB of LPDDR2 RAM and 8 GB of eMMC storage. There’s Android 4.1 on board, McAfee Mobile Security preinstalled and support for a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution. We’ve got WiFi on board, optional Bluetooth 3.0 and a 4200 mAh battery.
There’s integrated audio, speaker and microphone and the whole thing weighs 355 grams. There’s a 2 MP rear camera and a front 0.3 MP shooter. The 10 inch Intel Education Tablet relies on an Intel Atom Z2460 1.6 GHz CPU, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage, Android 4.0 ICS and a 10.1 inch 1280 x 800 TFT LCD screen. There’s a 6600 mAh battery inside, the same camera combo and a weight of 689 grams for the product.
Both model will come with education content that is relevant locally.
