There’s been talk about modular smartphone, but nothing about such a category of tablets so far. Thank God for concepts, like the HTC Tube tablet concept below, created by Antoine Brieux. This 10mm thick device manages to integrate the HTC Tube smartphone, another concept, that fits right in with the aid of a special cartridge.
Android and/or Windows Phone 7 can run on the Tube Tablet and HTC Sense will be the main interface. We’re dealing with a 10.4 inch concept tablet with a S-AMOLED display supporting multitouch and a full HD resolution. Specs list includes a Qualcomm Adreno GPU, 128GB of internal memory and a 6400 mAh battery.
HTC Tube Tablet also comes with stereo speakers, a HDMI port, an SD card slot and enough good looks to make a HTC a major slate market player. Too bad the design is a mere concept…
