HP EliteBoard G2a keyboard-integrated business PC
HP’s EliteBoard G2a places a compact business desktop inside a full-size keyboard.

A desk setup can get markedly simpler with HP’s EliteBoard G2a: the business-focused desktop PC is built into a full-size keyboard rather than a separate mini PC enclosure. Connect a compatible monitor over USB-C/USB4, add the needed peripherals, and the keyboard serves as the computer itself. At 14.1 by 4.7 by 0.7 inches and roughly 1.5 pounds, it is designed for space-constrained offices and hot-desk environments more than for conventional desktop expansion.

The G2a retains the overall design of the EliteBoard G1a introduced at CES 2026, but swaps in AMD’s Gorgon Point-based Ryzen AI 400 platform. Both announced configurations include a 50-TOPS NPU for on-device AI workloads and meet the Copilot+ PC category requirements. The keyboard has low-profile keys, a dedicated Copilot key, and a numeric keypad.

Two configurations, with premium U.S. pricing

Those prices place the EliteBoard G2a firmly in specialized enterprise territory rather than alongside consumer mini PCs. HP does offer some serviceability that is unusual for such a compact all-in-one design: the RAM and SSD can be replaced, and the keyboard itself can be replaced separately.

Portable between desks, but not built around legacy ports

Port selection is intentionally sparse. The primary USB4 connection handles the display, while a second USB-C port runs at 10Gbps for accessories or a second display. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0 cover wireless connectivity, but there are no USB-A ports or Ethernet jack. Organizations using wired networking or older peripherals will need adapters or a dock.

HP offers versions with either a fixed or detachable USB4 cable, plus an optional internal battery intended to let workers move the system between desks without restarting it. That mobility, coupled with the replaceable components, makes the EliteBoard G2a a distinctive option for managed workspaces that want a cleaner desk footprint. Buyers should weigh its unusual form factor against the high price and limited built-in I/O.
