HP has just gone official with new models from the TouchSmart PC series, TouchSmart 600 and TouchSmart 300. The latter packs a 20 inch display, while the former features a 23 inch screen, both with multitouch support and a 16:9 1080p HD or HD-ready capability. HP also announced a couple of exclusive applications for these PCs, that you’ll find out after the break.
The list of fresh apps includes Hulu Desktop (browsing and watching TV shows), Netflix (watch movies and browse them), Pandora Internet Radio (personalized music according to tastes), TouchSmart Live TV (watch and record TV shows), TouchSmart Canvas (photo organizing on a virtual canvas) and finally TouchSmart RecipeBox (hands free coking experience via voice command).
The last of the apps above is very impressive, specially since it supports voice recognition and text to speech, plus hands free navigation of recipes. HP’s new models also come with a new swivel stand, wall mount support and a tiltable webcam for conferences and video chats.
