Trying to differentiate from the pack of Windows 8.1 tablets, Fujitsu launched a new model that’s waterproof. The device is called Fujitsu Q584 and it’s a Windows 8.1 slate that’s now up for order in USA.

The device’s full name is Fujitsu Stylistic Q584, that packs a special case, with waterproof capabilities (IPX5/7/8) and inside it we find the quad core Intel Bay Trail Atom CPU, as well as 64 or 128 GB of storage. There’s 4 GB of RAM on board and a 2560 x 1600 pixel display with a 10.1 inch diagonal. The tablet weighs 640 grams and there’s a 32 Wh battery in the mix, that should provide 11 hours of fun.

The price tag is $879 for the basic version of the device and if you personalize the product a bit more, the price may increase a bit. There’s also a dock here, but sold separately for $59. You can access the US Fujitsu website to configure your unit and place an order for this device, if you’re tempted.
