Eve Tech is a new Finnish startup, one that has announced pricing for its fresh tablet, the Eve T1. The device is affordable at 159 euros and it’s up for order right now. Apparently, the Finns are aggressively marketing the product, as a device that’s very good for its low price. Somehow this device reminds me of these slates from Russia.
Eve T1 can be ordered today and it comes with predictable specs, like an 8 inch screen with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution, the Intel Bay Trail Z3735F processor, clocked at 1.8 GHz and 2 GB of RAM, plus 32 GB of storage. There’s a 5 megapixel rear camera, a front facing 2 MP one and a 4000 mAh battery. Microsoft will also offer one year of free subscription to Office 365 with this model.
Every week now we get wind of a new startup from Finland with big plans. Jolla has a tablet receiving millions of dollars financing, then there’s Circular Devices and their Puzzle Phone also from Finland. It seems that this country has become the next Silicon Valley of Northern Europe… There’s a buy now option for the Eve Tech T1 here
