Chuwi has been doing fine with raising funds for its products, including the SurBook Mini, which is expected to debut during the Chinese Shopping Festival season in November. This device was part of a crowdfunding campaign in Indiegogo, following the first SurBook, which raised $1 million.

The Mini unit is basically a smaller SurBook with a 10.8 inch screen and a 1920 x 1280 pixel resolution. It relies on an IPS OGS panel and inside we find an Intel Apollo Lake N3450 processor, plus 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. The adjustable kickstand from the first model is still present here, going all the way to 125 degrees. We’ve got a full laminated display in the mix, so the images will be detailed and vibrant, while lacking screen reflections.

The display is also going to be thinner thanks to the full lamination thing. On the connectivity front there’s USB Type-C, USB Type-A ports and an audio jack. SurBook Mini has entered trial production, so it should be available during the Chinese Shopping Festival season, on November 11th. Judging by the quality of the first SurBook and the recent LapBook Air, this should be a solid device.

While we don’t have a price yet, I expect something in the range of $300 or even less. In the meantime you can get the first SurBook from these retailers:

GeekBuying – $399
Banggood – $410
Gearbest – $451
