Argos is yet another retailer that’s moving up in the tablet and smartphone business. Now they’ve decided to start selling budget Windows tablets and phones. They will offer lower end models, just in case you’re wondering.
For example, there’s the Bush Windows Mobile Phone, priced at 70 quid. It comes SIM free, with Windows Phone 8.1 and a Snapdragon CPU. It’s interesting that the OS mentioned here is actually Windows 8.1… Anyway, getting past the 800 x 480 phone, we meet the tablet. It’s called Bush MyTablet and it’s an 8 incher with a 130 quid price tag. It integrates an 8 inch IPS display with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and Microsoft Office preinstalled.
Inside there’s an Intel Bay Trail-T quad core processor, clocked at 1.8 GHz. There’s also Intel HD graphics available, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of storage and Windows 8.1 with Bing as the OS. The tablet integrates a webcam, built in speaker, WiFi, microphone, a microSDHC card slot, a USB 3.0 port and a battery that offers up to 6 hours of life. This product measures 8.6 mm in thickness.
