We recently covered what is Vizio’s first Windows 8 tablet device, powered by a hardware configuration meant for the complete Windows experience. Courtesy of The Verge, we can now get a more detailed look over the powerful device.

As stated in the previous article, the Vizio Windows 8 Tablet PC is powered by an AMD  cpu, in a dual-core 1GHz Z-60 configuration. The 11.6-inch display offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels Full HD that simply looks superb. Other features of the configuration include 64GB SSD storage, 2GB of RAM, Micro HDMI and mMicro USB ports, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.

According to the editor at The Verge that managed to get a feel of the tablet, Vizio has done a great job manufacturing the device. The hardware configuration manages to offer a responsive experience while maintaining the most important aspect – its portability. The tablet is capable of handling x86 based software you would run on your PC at home and it does it in a satisfactory manner. At the moment details about pricing and availability are still unknown.
