Remember the Acer Switch 3? Somehow we got a hold of it and reviewed it ever since last month, before it was released in some countries of the world. Now it turns out that the device has finally been released in USA and we’ve got it priced and on offer. You can find it on Amazon for example and below we have the video review.
The price mentioned in the title applies if you’re buying the machine straight from Acer, but if you get it from Amazon you’ll spend a few bucks extra. The Switch 3 is a convertible machine with a big 12.2 inch screen, that’s not half bad when used indoors. It offers a 16:10 aspect and a Full HD resolution. Inside there’s an Intel Pentium N4200 CPU CPU with Intel HD graphics 505, plus 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.
Then there’s a microSD card slot and a detachable keyboard that attaches magnetically turns this into pretty much a laptop. The screen has support for an active digitizer and as such you can use the pen that’s included in the price. The detachable keyboard is also included in the price tag and can be attached in two different positions. At the back of the Acer Switch 3 there’s a very good looking kickstand, that comes away from the back side, at a few different angles.
Other features include a 5 MP back camera, plus a 2 MP front shooter for Skyping and stereo speakers are included at the top side of the screen. This product is generous with connectivity, offering one USB 3.0 port, an USB Type-C, an audio jack, dual band WiFi and a proprietary charge port. All of those are stacked within a 900 gram machine, that uses a 4670 mAh battery, which provides up to 8 hours of usage.
This is basically a cheap Surface Pro tablet alternative, with a lower price and still some good productivity thanks to Windows 10 Pro.
