Lenovo is an usual presence at IFA Berlin and this year will be no exception. Since the show starts in a month and 10 days it’s obvious that leaks started to appear. One of them has to do with the Lenovo Yoga 920 convertible, also known as the Lenovo Yoga 6 Pro. This device has an Intel Coffee Lake platform and we have details about it below. Expect to see it at IFA 2017.
The full name is actually Lenovo Yoga 13, so we’re dealing with a 13 inch machine. The Yoga 6 Pro is the name applied for the product on the Chinese market. The Lenovo Yoga 910 was a premium convertible that debuted at IFA 2016 in Berlin last year and it was sold for over $1500. The Yoga 920 should bring an aluminum chassis and the famous 4 usage modes: notebook, stand, tent and tablet.
It will switch from Intel Kaby Lake processor to an Intel Coffee Lake one. There are documents published by the FCC engineers about this product, which is where we got some of the details about it. The Lenovo Yoga 920 will be marketed in two versions: Lenovo Yoga 920-13IKB and Lenovo Yoga 920-13IKB Glass, with the latter having a large glass layer on the screen.
The hardware includes a 1.8 GHz Intel Core i7-855UCPU or 1.6 GHz Intel Core i5-8250U chipset. Coffee Lake chips are said to have 30% higher performance than the current Kaby Lake, but the results have yet to be compared to the Ryzen series. Other features include 8, 12 or 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of SSD, or up to 1 TB of M.2 PCIe storage. A 13.9 inch screen with Full HD or 4K res is here, with a full active digitizer with Watcom support.
Modern connectivity is in the mix, with Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi and two USB Type-C ports.
