Lately, Panasonic started to develop more and more rugged tablets, and today it outs a new device like this, more precisely the ToughBook 20 2-in-1. This hybrid product is a full rugged, lightweight laptop that easily detaches to its dedicated qwerty keyboard in order to become a 10.1 inch tablet ready for action.

The first thing we get to know, is the fact that this laptop features a durable MIL-STD-810G and IP65 design, all included on a magnesium alloy chassis. We’re getting a built-in handle that also works as a kickstand for a more flexibility when it comes to using experience. Panasonic offers a 10.1 inch IPS display on this device, panel with a 800 nit brightness and glove touch technology.

Inside there’s an Intel Core M5-6Y57 processor, 8 GB of RAM memory, 128 GB SSD that is upgradeable to 256 GB or 512 GB SSD, a backlit keyboard, a 2-megapixel front facing camera. Optional we can choose a 8-megapixel rear sensor to be included on our laptop. A 2nd battery can be also packed on this rugged device.

In terms of connectivity we have an USB port (2nd one optional), HDMI, Ethernet, MicroSDXC, Headphone/mic, microSIM – elements found on the tablet. When it comes to the keyboard dock, there’s three USB ports, HDMI, VGA, Ethernet Serial and a Docking connector. In spite of its rugged alure, this product manages to weight just 1.7 kg/3.9 lbs. However, the price is pretty high at $3099.
