The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-Y1 is a rugged tablet with a 20 inch screen, that stands out through its 4K resolution and it was just confirmed today for launch in India. The product will be priced at $3697 and it’s meant for professionals.

That includes broadcasters, photographers and designers, as well as architects and sales persons. The product can work without a problem at extreme temperatures, from minus 29 degrees Celsius, up to 60 degrees. It can also survive drops from up to 76 centimeters in height and its specs include a 20 inch 3840 x 2560 pixel display with an IPS LCD panel and an aspect ratio of 15:10.

The slate is 12.55 mm thick and weighs 2.41 kg, plus it relies on an Intel Core i5-5300 processor with Intel HD Graphics 5500 and 8 GB of RAM in the mix as well. There’s a 256 GB SSD here and an USB 3.0 port, Ethernet port, an SDXC card slot and MiniDisplay port as well as HDMI 2.0 and headphone jack. Panasonic will also offer an optional cradle with extra ports, like LAN, HDMI and 3 USB 3.0 ports.

The OS of the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-Y1 is Windows 8.1 Pro and previously a “lite” model was launched with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of SSD storage.
