This week we found out the first details about a potential new tablet made by LG. The new model was dubbed LG G Pad and today we get more intel on the slate that could debut at IFA 2013. The Korea Herald is quoting sources who are claiming that the first prototypes of the G Pad are being produced in China next month.
We trust the Korean media because LG has offered them inside info before. The Herald is saying that the G Pad packs an 8.3 inch display with a Full HD resolution, actually 1920 x 1200 pixels. It will be powered by a quad core Snapdragon 800 processor and include 2 GB of RAM. The device is expected to be announced at IFA, an event taking place in Berlin between September 6th and the 11th.
The product will be part of the new LG G series that already includes the high end G2 model, so Android is pretty much a given on the new tablet. Interestingly enough, the Korean publication says that LG is aiming at selling 100k G Pads per month, based on their production plans and can even double the figure if needed.
