Xiaomi is bound to hold a big event on August 11th, which is when it’s going to unveil new headphones, a tablet and a foldable. The foldable is Xiaomi Mix Fold 2, the headphones are the Buds 4 Pro, while the tablet is the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4, which just received a pretty major teaser.
The new tablet is the one that interests us, since it’s quite different from the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro launched last year. That one offered an 11 inch screen, while the new one offers a 12.4 inch screen. The camera island at the back also has a different design. The slate’s primary camera employs a 50 megapixel sensor, which may be the same as the Pad 5 Pro 5G version, as the Wi-Fi only model has a 13 MP shooter.
We expect here a 2K AMOLED screen with 120 Hz refresh rate, narrow symmetrical bezels and a metal body. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor may also arrive, or perhaps a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, if Xiaomi is feeling generous. Stylus support is also very likely, as well as at least 8 GB of RAM and at least an 8000 mAh battery, if not 10.000 mAh.
Quad speakers or maybe even 6 or 8 of them should be here, plus an ultrawide and Bokeh or Macro camera at the back side. Expect a keyboard case and hefty price.
