Xiaomi is preparing a new tablet, we knew that much, especially considering there was a recent leak of the device, in a regular and Pro version. Two versions were being mentioned, one with Android 7.0 Nougat and the other with Windows 10 and also two diagonal sizes (7.9 inches and 9.7 inches). Today we get to see the rear shells of the tablet, pictured below, in multiple colors.
The leak comes from Weibo and seems to show that the newcomer will be available in gold, silver, rose/red and a fourth hue that seems to be black. It also has a more ridged format. The Mi Pad 3 is expected to debut in April, possibly in mid April, when the Xiaomi Mi 6 flagship is also supposed to arrive. Now as far as the two versions of the slate are concerned, the 7.9 inch Mi Pad 3 is said to come with a MediaTek MT8176 processor, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB or 128 GB of storage.
That one will be priced at $188 or $231 respectively and it’ll run Android 7.0. The other, bigger unit is a 9.7 incher with Windows 10 and there’s an Intel Atom x7-Z8750 processor inside, as well as 4 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of storage again. The price is $246 and $291. We now expect more detailed leaks of the device, perhaps showing the facade more clearly.
