2022 may finally be the year when the BBK group enters tablets. Actually pardon me, they already did with the realme Pad. Now the sister brands OPPO, vivo and OnePlus must get cracking. An OPPO Pad has already leaked and now an alleged vivo Pad has appeared in a fresh leak.
Back in June 2021 vivo got the vivo Pad trademarks for their first Android tablet. They also got trademarks for secondary brands, like NEX and iQOO. Now popular tipster Digital Chat Station has unveiled key specs for the vivo Pad. The source reveals that the slate will have a high refresh rate display, a 120 Hz panel, and also a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor.
It’s not yet clear if we’ve got a LCD or AMOLED panel. The product is expected to compete with the likes of the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 Pro. The source also mentions that the vivo Pad will offer a software experience based or akin to the OriginOS. An 8000 mAh battery also appears in the leak. We also learn that its debut will happen in the first half of 2022.
One of the more interesting previous leaks talked about a gimbal-based back camera, inspired by vivo’s X series phones. Zeiss optics may also make the cut.
