The iPad Pro tablet was announced a couple of months ago, but it seems that not all of its specs are known by the users. One of them is the fact that Apple applied an upgrade on the Lightning port found on iPad Pro. This time, the connector arrives with support for USB 3.0 speeds, feature found at the moment on some high-end notebooks like MacBook Pro.
As we already know, Apple is hiding some features of the new devices launched on the market, as the quantity of RAM memory. This feature of the Lightning port is yet another hidden thing. From the performance point of view, the USB 2.0 standard that was unveiled in 2000, offers support for a speed transfer of up to 480 Mbps.
On the other hand, the 2015-USB 3.0 standard supports transfer speeds of up to 5 Gbps. Apparently, the actual cable found in Apple’s iPad Pro box is the regular one without support for USB 3.0. However, according to some rumors, the Cupertino giant plans to offer a new cable in the box of the iPad Pro pretty soon.
