TCL doesn’t only make TVs, but also tablets and they’ve just come up with the new Tab A1 Plus. It also has a NXTPAPER version, that debuted at MWC 2026 and now that version is available for sale in USA. You can find it on the online TCL store for $299.99 for a limited time during the Back to School sale.
You can also get it from Amazon with a RRP of $399.99. So what’s the specs list? The tablet features a 12.2 inch 2400 x 1600 pixel LCD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 3:2 aspect ratio. It also delivers 500 nits of peak brightness. TCL NXTPAPER technology uses a matte display look to get rid of reflections.
Inside we find a rather modest Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, 6 GB of RAM and 256 GB of expandable storage. There’s also an 8 megapixel front camera for videocalls, rather than selfies. There’s also an 8 megapixel main camera and a 10.000 mAh battery, with support for 33W fast charging. The device packs 4 speakers, two microphones and it’s available in Aerolite Grey.
It measures 6.7 mm in thickness and weighs 556 grams, which is quite decent. There’s also a sort of bundle situation going on here, as the device comes with a stylus and a flip case in the box.
