Samsung’s unexpected launch at CES was the Galaxy TabPro S slate model, that was made available for sale today. Priced at $899, the detachable device can be purchased on Best Buy in a few hours and the Microsoft Store and Samsung.com are going to offer it from April 4th.
Samsung’s 2 in 1 model with Windows 10 has a detachable keyboard and support for an optional Bluetooth pen. The price offered here is the same one that the Surface Pro 4 debuted with, so they’re competing in the same range. The TabPro S brings a 12 inch 2160 x 1440 pixel display with AMOLED panel, an Intel Core M3 Skylake processor, 4 GB of RAM and 128 to 256 SSD storage.
Inside we find a 5200 mAh battery and on the specs list there’s WiFi 802.11ac support, Bluetooth 4.1 and NFC. 5 MP cameras are included at the back and front. An advantage over the Surface Pro 4 is that this unit comes with the keyboard bundled, but the pen is still separate.
