Samsung is preparing a brand new tablet, one part of the budget segment, which may serve as a follow-up for the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite and partially also the A8 10.5. It’s right between them specs-wise and it’s dubbed Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 (2022), having just leaked in the renders, specs and price below.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 (2022) has been unveiled by Slashleaks in a series of renders and it’s said to come with a 10.4 inch 2000 x 1200 pixel display. It’s an LCD and the source claims that the product is actually reusing some parts from the 2020 predecessor. We also get a singular 8 megapixel back camera and also a 5 MP selfie shooter, plus a 7040 mAh battery. The chipset is probably the biggest change here, as the 2022 tablet is said to feature an Unisoc T618, a 12 nm CPU based on a TSMC FinFET process.

It has two ARM Cortex-A75 cores clocked at up to 2 GHz and 6 Cortex-A55 cores, one clocked at up to 2 GHz and a Mali G52MP2 GPU. There’s optional 4G LTE connectivity as well. It’s a replacement for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 on the Tab A7 2020 model, which some may perceive as a downgrade. This same CPU was present on the Tab A8 10.5 2021 if I’m not mistaking. The new Tab A7 (2022) is also said to feature 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage.

The source also indicates a starting price of 199 euros.
