We’ve heard that Samsung was planning a big push for its Exynos processors this year and intended to include them on the fresh Galaxy Tab 4 devices. All 3 of them leaked just days ago, with a full list of specs, revealing quad core 1.2 GHz CPUs. Now there’s a rumor saying that Qualcomm is still in the cards…
Apparently, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 will have a Snapdragon 400 processor and there’s also a Verizon version of the device in the making. A recent benchmark confirms that the CPU will be the Snapdragon MSM8926 with Adreno 305 GPU. This is the same version found on the Motorola Moto G, by the way. The benchmark was GFXBench and showed the SM-T335 version of the slate, that could be a LTE capable model.
It’s not uncommon for a slate maker or phone maker to go with one CPU for a WiFi version of its device and a Snapdragon for the LTE one. This means that the other Galaxy Tab 4 units may end up with the same processing solution. Knowing how fluid the experience is on the Moto G, we have high hopes for these devices.
However, this time there are more pixels to move and a layer of TouchWiz to face…
