It seems that Samsung never gets bored of making tablets, so the Galaxy Tab 2 model shouldn’t come as a surprise. We’re dealing here with a 7 inch slate with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on board and featuring mediocre specs, if you ask me. Well, at least the price is reasonable, at around $450… Here’s the newcomer:
Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 runs Android 4.0 features a 1GHz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM, a 7 inch WSVGA display (1024 x 600) based on PLS TFT LCD technology, WiFi, a 3 megapixel camera with fixed focus and a VGA camera upfront. There’s also HSPA+, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS, 8/16/32GB of internal memory, a microSD card slot and a 4,000 mAh battery. The slate measures 10.5mm in thickness and comes loaded with Samsung services such as TouchWiz UI with Live Panel, Samsung Apps, Hub, S Suggest, Kies Air, ChatON and Allshare Play.
Samsung confirmed that this device will be coming to the UK in March and the official pricing and availability for the Scandinavian countries also popped up. We’ll also get a 3G version of the tablet, it appears… In Sweden, the Galaxy Tab 2 costs $450 in the WiFi version and $556 in the 3G one, while in Finland the product is priced at $463 and $568 respectively. In Norway and Denmark, pricing will be similar, $420/$523 and $419/$712 (this is a type-o that needs to be confirmed, according to sammyhub).
