Samsung recently held a special event in New York City in order to let everyone know what their TouchWiz UI upgrade to the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is about. In case you weren’t in New York to get the upgrade, worry not, as it will roll out on August 5th via over the air method.
This software enhancement brings the Amazon Music Player, Words with Friends and Kindle software. A welcome addition is the Swype input, some enterprise features and the famous Social and Media Hubs that we liked on the Galaxy S II. Copy & paste get advanced functionality, as you’re allow to store photos, web pages, YouTube links and whatnot on the clipboard, for later sharing via email or social networks.
There’s also a Live Panel coming with the upgrade, a magazine-style widget view for feats such as weather, social networking, email, news, photos and more. The photo editor is also present with a bunch of features that will come in handy especially on this tablet with its 8MP quality camera. And now let’s see how fast the software rollout happens.
