We’ve been covering the OnePlus Pad tablet for a hot minute now and we’re not surprised to see it getting closed to its launch. After all, the other BBK companies, vivo and OPPO already have tablets out, realme too. It’s only logical that OnePlus would also launch one and today we learn about a trademark of it in India, according to Mobilissimo.ro.
The OnePlus Pad trademark was spotted by tipster Mukul Sharma, who also mentioned that the device is under testing in India. This means it could debut soon. The trademark was filed on July 5th 2021 and it mentions OnePlus Technology (Shenzhen) as the proprietor. Sadly, this is where the info stops. The tablet had also been trademarked at the European Union Intellectual Property Office back in July last year.
My expectation is that we’ll get a sort of clone of the OPPO Pad here to be honest. Judging by previous leaks, the OnePlus Pad should run on Android 12L, the platform tailored by Google for large screen devices, like foldable smartphones and tablets. As far as the specs go, OnePlus Pad has a 12.4 inch OLED screen with a FHD+ resolution, a Snapdragon 865 CPU (which honestly sounds a bit dated), as well as 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
There’s a huge 10.900 mAh battery in the mix and 45W charging. It should also bring a dual back camera, with a 13 MP main sensor and 5 MP ultrawide shooter. Expect a $471 price tag.
