Samsung wasn’t content with just having 10 inch or 12 inch tablets, they’ve gone full tilt with the 14.6 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. We had the opportunity to test for a few weeks and we have the 5G Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra to play with. What came out was the video review below.

Some findings we had during that time frame? It’s very hard to wield, because it’s so large. With a keyboard attached it’s even bigger than a laptop if you’re doing work on a commute or plane. It’a also very well built, it’s very slim, at 5.55 mm. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is bundled with an S-Pen and it has the same low latency of 2.8 ms as the S22 Ultra stylus. There are powerful quad speakers on board and the AMOLED screen on board is very bright and crisp.

This is definitely the highest performing tablet we tested, with a very powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU inside. The front dual camera is a boon for videocalls and keeps you centered and crystal clear at all times. There’s also a DeX Mode, which lets you attach a mouse and keyboard and use a taskbar and resizable windows, in pure Windows style. There’s also a dual back camera with 4K video capture and LED flash, pretty good ones too.

It runs on Android 12 and One UI 4.1, with a Privacy Dashboard, new widgets and more. There’s a lot more to tell, but you have the video review for extra info. The device is pretty pricey, at $1200 or so and the keyboard sets you back another $300 or so, which overall is the price of a solid 4K OLED laptop.
