OnePlus is stepping up its tablet game with the launch of the OnePlus Pad 3, a high-end slate that brings desktop-grade performance, a cinematic display, and productivity-focused accessories to the Android ecosystem. Essentially a global version of China’s OnePlus Pad 2 Pro, this new model positions itself as a serious iPad Pro contender—at least on paper.

The Pad 3 centers around a 13.2-inch LCD panel with a sharp 3392 x 2400 resolution, buttery smooth 144Hz refresh rate, and support for variable refresh rates from 30Hz to 144Hz depending on the content. With 315 PPI, up to 900 nits peak brightness, and a 540Hz touch sampling rate, it’s clearly built for more than just media consumption—it’s also aiming at creatives, gamers, and multi-taskers.

Under the hood, OnePlus has packed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 “Elite” platform, built on a 3nm process with a max clock speed of 4.32GHz, paired with an Adreno 830 GPU. You can choose between 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM or 16GB of newer LPDDR5T RAM, along with 256GB or 512GB of blazing-fast UFS 4.0 storage. The Pad 3 runs on OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15, offering a desktop-style multitasking experience out of the box.

Audio isn’t an afterthought, either. There are eight speakers in total—four mid-bass drivers and four UWB tweeters—working together with an omni-bearing sound field system that intelligently shifts audio channels based on how you’re holding the device. Whether you’re streaming a film, jumping into a video call, or listening to music, the Pad 3 promises immersive, spatial sound without the need for headphones.

Camera-wise, it’s modest: a 13MP rear shooter sits tucked into a corner of the metal unibody, with an 8MP selfie camera up front.

All of this is backed by a 12,140mAh battery, one of the largest ever in a mainstream tablet. It supports 80W SuperVOOC charging, delivering a full charge in just 92 minutes. A quick 10-minute top-up gets you 18%, enough for hours of use.

Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB 3.2 Gen 1, USB-C audio, NFC, and even 5G data sharing if you’re paired with a OnePlus phone. There’s no cellular version of the tablet itself, though.

OnePlus is also pushing accessories hard. The redesigned Glide Keyboard comes with larger keycaps, an AI shortcut button, and a tilt range of 110 to 165 degrees. It connects magnetically and supports NFC transfers. The OnePlus Stylo 2 stylus brings low-latency pen input for note-taking, drawing, and navigating. A folio case rounds out the lineup.

Pricing starts at $699.99 for the 12GB + 256GB model, while the 16GB + 512GB version will cost $799. The Glide Keyboard is $199.99, the Stylo 2 stylus at $99.99, and the Folio Case at $49.99.
