OnePlus is gearing up for another swing at the tablet market, and this time the company is putting more muscle behind the Go lineup. The upcoming OnePlus Pad Go 2 — now officially teased — looks like a big step forward for the brand’s budget-friendly slab, complete with a higher-res screen, a more capable chipset, and the first stylus ever offered for the Go series. The tablet is set to launch in India on December 17, with open sales beginning the next day.

The most attention-grabbing upgrade is the display: a 12.1-inch 2.8K panel (2800 x 1980) with 900-nit peak brightness and a tall 7:5 aspect ratio that leans toward reading, sketching, and multitasking. OnePlus says it covers 98 percent of the DCI-P3 color space and supports Dolby Vision, while TÜV Rheinland Intelligent Eye Care 4.0 certification suggests it should be easier on the eyes during long work sessions or cross-continent streams. OnePlus is also touting “IMAX-sized cinematic visuals,” and while that’s marketing more than measurement, the specs land comfortably above what budget Android tablets usually offer.

Paired with that panel is something brand-new for the Go family: a stylus. The OnePlus Pad Go 2 Stylo is built for note-taking and creative work, and ties directly into the updated Open Canvas interface, which lets apps float and snap for smoother split-screen use. A quick 10-minute charge reportedly powers half a day of writing or drawing, hinting that OnePlus is trying to position this device as more than just a video streamer.

Inside, the Pad Go 2 sports a MediaTek CPU, a 4nm Dimensity 7300 Ultra — a mid-range chip that should offer solid efficiency and day-to-day performance. OnePlus claims TÜV SÜD Fluency certification for four years of smooth operation, suggesting the tablet won’t choke on multitasking anytime soon. Its 10,050mAh battery is also unusually large for this segment, promising up to 15 hours of video playback, more than two days of straight music, and nearly 60 days of standby. Charging tops out at 33W, and the tablet can reverse-charge accessories or even a phone over cable when needed.

OnePlus will reveal pricing during its December 17 event, where the Pad Go 2 will share the stage with the OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Watch Lite. Sales begin December 18 across online and retail channels in India, with availability in other markets still unconfirmed.
