Lenovo seems to be preparing a new affordable tablet, one with GSM connectivity that may well be unveiled at MWC 2016. The device is codenamed Lenovo TB3 710i and it runs Android.
Its specs are pretty modest, including the 7 inch 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage, as well as the microSD card slot with support for up to 64 GB extra. There’s a 1.3 GHz quad core CPU inside, a 5 megapixel main camera and a 2 MP front shooter, plus Android 5.1 Lollipop as the OS.
The budget tablet will come with GSM and WCDMA support, so it will allow you to make and take calls. Obviously, the finalized product won’t be called Lenovo TB3-701i, but rather a more commercial name. We expect Lenovo to bring even more slates at MWC next week, focusing on higher end units and convertibles.
