Lenovo launched a few devices already at CES 2022 and MWC 2022, but it’s not stopping there. Now they’re bringing on the market a new device, a Microsoft Surface Pro 8 rival dubbed IdeaPad Duet 5i. It has the latest Intel Core Gen 12 CPU inside and it’s basically a powerful 2 in 1 Windows convertible.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 5i is a Windows detachable/convertible, which includes a Bluetooth keyboard and also an optional Lenovo Wacom stylus. The device has a metal case (aluminum) and a built in kickstand, keeping it upright on any surface. The screen is a detachable unit, a 12.3 inch IPS LCD with a 16:10 aspect and a 2.5K resolution (2560 x 1600 pixels). The screen can go up to a brightness of 450 nits and it supports Dolby Vision content.

Making the device tick is Intel’s latest 12th Gen Alder Lake U series processor, starting from a Pentium 8505. It goes to a Core i5-1235U than a Core i7-1255U. Those feature the newly introduced efficieny cores from Intel (E-Cores), which deliver improved battery life for the device, when running on idle to light tasks. There’s also a 50 Wh battery, which Lenovo claims should offer up to 11 hours of screen on time with a single charge.

As far as memory is concerned, the Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 5i gets up to 16 GB of DDR4X RAM, up to 1 TB of M.2 PCIe SSD. You can also tweak it to give it Bluetooth 5.2 support and Wi-Fi 6E. The detachable comes with 2 USB 3.2 Gen Type-C ports with PowerDelivery Support, a 5 MP front camera and also a rear camera. No availability or price has been unveiled yet, but we do know that the device is coming to Europe, the UK, New Zealand, Malaysia and Israel.
