As all the new products that are launched on the market are passing through the hands of the guys from iFixit, it looks that the iPad Air 2 tablet made no exception, as being the main star in a new teardown process of the components found inside the case that now measures just 6.1 mm in thickness and weighs 437 grams.
As we found out, the new iPad Air 2 brings a triple-core Apple A8X processor clocked at 1.49 GHz, a 2 GB chip of RAM memory, a TouchID fingerprint scanner and a 8-megapixel iSight camera sensor. Among the teardown, the iFixit team was intrigued by how the display, the touch panel and the glass cover are laminated into a single piece.
Also, we get to know the fact that the battery found in the iPad Ai2 is a 7.340 mAh unit, while on the iPad Air 1 we had a 8.827 mAh Li-Ion battery. Getting to results, iFixit gives it 2 points out of 10 when it comes to the reparability point of view.
