The recent iPad 3 leaks and rumors may include a bunch of components and case pieces reaching the web too soon, but they also seem to include some sort of holographic display. I know… your first reaction must be to be stunned and hope for a true innovation this year, but rest assured that Apple will only offer you a Retina Display and slightly improved cameras at best.

It’s about 90% likely that the iPad 3/ iPad 2 HD/ iPad 2S will have a 2048 x 1536 pixel display, an Apple A6 dual core, not quad core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16/32/64GB of internal memory, LTE and a 5MP plus 1.3MP camera. That should be enough to have fans going for one more year and it put great emphasis on gaming, probably bringing an ultra-mega-powerful GPU. Siri is also coming, I guess, with iOS 5.1, that will maybe allow the virtual assistant to open apps and switch settings this time.

On the dreamy side we have that holographic display, a quad core processor, an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p capture, 15 hours of battery life and a 2500 x 1600 resolution or close. Holograms may be cool, but they are great battery killers and Apple’s not into that, at all…
