After seeing the iPad used by priests to read sermons, it doesn’t seem very surprising that the Apple tablet is the moms’ favorite when taking pics at their kids’ graduation ceremonies. Come to think about it, the new generations will have the iPad accompanying them, from the cradle, to kindergarten, up to college and the entire life.

If this perspective sounds creepy, imagine how the world will look like 30 years from now, when tablets will most likely be omnipresent. Paper will be truly obsolete and everyone will forget buttons. Even the touchscreen may become an antique technology that we’ll remember laughing at its futile existence.

What’s next? Well, 3D cameras for now, then holograms and then… maybe Steve Jobs’ successor knows.
