While HP is busy getting the trademark for the PalmPad tablet, their “Slate” project seems to be dead enough to let others deal with it. Straight from China comes your average HP Slate clone, pictured below and based on Windows 7. A 10 inch display is also on board, with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution, but too bad that this is a resistive multitouch screen we’re talking about.

It also incorporates a webcam, a 1.66GHz Atom N450 CPU, an USB port, a 3.5mm audio jack, a VGA port, a LAN port, an accelerometer, 3G, WiFi and Bluetooth. A free stand is bundled with the clone… wow, right?
