Both Nokia and Motorola seem to be ready to bring tablets back and they’re going to do so in India. HMD Global has announced an event taking place on October 6th and it’s going to include at least one new device. It’s most likely the leaked Nokia T20 tablet.

The teasers talk about a new product category and it would be the first Nokia slate in 6 years. The teasers posted by HMD itself include models like the Nokia 8110 5G, Nokia 6.2 and the new Nokia XR20. However, on the right side we also spot a new box, where there could be the new tablet prepped by HMD. Nokia T20 has been leaking from June and it’s said to be a 10.36 inch tablet with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage.

It also has an Unisoc affordable processor inside and it should come in 4G and WiFi versions. The tablet runs on Android 11 and certifications have revealed it’ll support 10W charging. 2020 brought an increase in tablet and laptop sales, that’s why companies like Xiaomi and even HTC have gotten back into the segment. Nokia and Moto also want a piece of the action, particularly in the more affordable segment. They could carve a niche of $200 or $150 slates I think.

On October 6th we’ll definitely learn more.
