Eve is a startup that has come up with a very interesting tablet, with Windows 10 on board. The product has been in development for quite a while, but it’s ready for production and shipments will start next month. The device was developed with input from the community and crowdfunded via Indiegogo.

The campaign took place in November and reached its target amount in just one hour. It aimed for $75,000, but it managed to raise over $1.4 million. While originally the product had the development codename of “Pyramid Flipper”, but it will launch as the Eve V. It was supposed to ship in February, but the schedule has obviously changed.

The first pilot production is now meant for April 25th and the second batch will be done in 30 days afterwards. In order to avoid any potential problems, each screen will be calibrated individually in partnership with the US firm Portrait Displays. The Eve V is similar to the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, in form factor and features, including a retractable kickstand and detachable keyboard.

The Eve V comes with a 12.3 inch IGZO LCD display with a 2736 x 1824 pixel resolution, while inside there’s a 7th Intel Core m3 processor, but there are also Core i5 and Core i7 options. 8 or 16 GB of RAM are here, as well as up to 512 GB of SSD storage. An amazing 15 hours of battery life is promised here. The starting price is around $999.
