The Dell Venue 8 Pro tablet is now available for $399 and up and it’s the follow-up to the similarly named 2013 Dell Venue 8 Pro. That one was one of the first 8 inch Windows 8.1 tablets with digital pen support and it came at $299, but in some locations it got down to $199.
Now Dell is revamping the product, as the new Dell Venue 8 Pro has 64 GB to offer and pretty much doubles everything: memory, storage and price. There’s a Full HD display in the mix, a Thunderbolt 3/USB Type C port and a more powerful Intel Atom x5-Z8500 processor. The Dell website even shows the price as $449, which is quite hefty, but that’s the Windows 10 Pro version.
We find 4 GB of RAM on board, NFC support, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.0, a 5 megapixel main camera and 2 MP front shooter, as well as a 19.5 Whr battery. Of course, you can attach optional accessories to the product, ranging from keyboards to docking stations, active pens and more, but they come with a price.
