This huge product is expected to be of use in areas like police work, emergency response and the military. The rugged tablet hybrid meets several military specifications for field use and it’s resilient to water, dust, cold and heat. Dell claims that this product can be dropped repeatedly from a height of 6 feet.

The previewers of the hybrid poured an entire bottle of water on the bigger brother of the device, the Dell Latitude 14 Rugged Extreme and still it worked. The concept that both this and the Latitude 12 rely on is a special water drainage duct to carry out the water. Latitude 12 Rugged Extreme packs Intel’s 4th generation CPUs and can also come with up to 16 GB of RAM, 512 GB of SSD and on the outside there’s also Dell’s RGB backlit keyboard, that comes in several colors.

There’s also a HD webcam here with a privacy shutter and an 8 MP back shooter. The screen here works with gloves and can work in sub zero temperatures. Is this the most resilient hybrid ever?
