We’ve just come across a new piece of equipment made in Asia, a multitouch tablet PC going by the name of Cool Rui Special X9. This Windows 7-based tablet comes with a 10.2 inch TFT touchscreen display with a 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, an Intel Atom N270 1.6G CPU and 1GB of DDR2 memory.

Graphics-wise, you get an Intel 950 integrated solution and the device also packs a 1.3 megapixel webcam, a 160GB SATA HDD and support for WiFi 802.11 a/b/g, WCDMA, TD-SCDMA and CDMA 2000. Cool Rui Special X9 weighs 1 kg and uses a Li-Polymer battery (2800mAh) to juice it up.

We must also mention the many ports that this portable gadget sports: 3 USB ports, a 5 in 1 card reader, VGA, 1 network jack, a microphone jack, a port for headphones and a USIM card slot. The device supports both finger input and stylus operation, plus it comes with an elegant and easy to use virtual keyboard.
