We’ve heard about the Acer Iconia W3 before, but now the tablet is finally official, courtesy of the Computex 2013 event. This is a device that will arrive in USA priced at $379, which is very affordable for Windows 8 gear.

It will come in 32 GB and 64 GB versions and it packs an 8.1 inch screen with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. Inside we’ve got an Intel Atom Z2760 Clover Trail processor clocked at 1.8 GHz and 2 GB of RAM. MicroSD is also on board and on the software side we’ve got a very appealing bundle: Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013, running on top of Windows 8.

Accessories will also be available, such as an optional keyboard for 69 euro and a case for 24.90 or 27.90 euros, depending on the color. Acer Iconia W3 is the start of a trend and I’m sure that we’ll see many more sub 10 inch slates with Windows 8 in the following months.
