Chuwi MiniBook is one of those petite laptops and it has been a long time coming. Today it’s finally up for sale, priced at $430, after a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo. The device is detailed below.
This is a small laptop with an 8 inch touchscreen display and a 360 degree hinge, plus Windows 10. You’re going to have to shell out a bit more for the higher powered versions. Chuwi MiniBook has a keyboard that somehow reminds me of an iPad Mini’s virtual keyboard turned into a real life one. This is a truly compact machine, at just 0.7 inches in thickness and with a weight of 1.5 pounds. It can be used as a tablet if you rotate the screen to the back side. Said screen is a Full HD one and we also have stereo speakers, a fingerprint sensor, an M.2 slot and 8 GB of RAM.
There’s 128 GB of eMMC storage and Chuwi promised a battery life of around 4.5 hours. And if you’re looking for alternatives, there’s the One Mix 1S Yoga, which drops the diagonal to 7 inches, but adds an Intel Celeron 3965Y CPU instead. It’s $440 that one
