Chuwi is a brand I’m sure you’ve heard of, if you’ve been following our website. They’ve produced quite a few affordable tablets and starting this week the list also includes a Chuwi Hi10 Go model, the first Intel Jasperlake N5100 tablet, which will be available from April 2021. We have more details below.
The new model will keep the classic Chuwi design DNA and it’ll also add the brand new Intel 10 nm processor. The Intel 10 nm CPU has been long anticipated on the market. It was showcased as far ago as early 2020, this “Jasper Lake series” and it finally shipped units in Q1 2021. Chuwi is an important global strategic partner. Hi10 Go gets an Intel Celeron N5100 processor, based on the new Tremont architecture and should offer a frequency increase by more than 30%. There’s a 4 core 4 thread design here, and turbo frequencies reaching 2.8 GHz.
The new chip also brings 11th gen GPU HFM360 UHD and higher frequency of 800 MHz, offering 4K image decoding. The TDP is being kept at just 6W. Compared with current 14 nm product, the next 10 nm generation shows up as a front runner in performance and power consumption. Hi10 Go uses a 2.5D Glass panel and also a metal body. It’s got a 10.1 inch IPS LCD display with a 19200 x 1200 pixel resolution. It’s also a very slim device, at just 8.5 mm, making it pretty light and portable. It also packs 6 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 128 GB of EMMC storage and a 22 Wh large battery.
There’s also support for a Hipen H6 stylus and a docking keyboard. We don’t have a price yet, but we’ll learn more in April.
