Remember this piece we had concerning the use of pirated Android on Augen’s GenTouch78 tablet? The company’s CEO felt the need to explain the situation, before it got out of hand. Thus, from his official statement we learn that the Google Mobile services and Android Apps were preinstalled during the development process on the company’s tablets.

The OS was on the devices for testing purposes and it was forgotten on the slates by mistake, before the products were released. Google and Augen reached an understanding, because now the platform can’t be removed from the devices already sold and shipped, because of technological constraints. Only future products will be affected by Augen’s find, as they’ll block and remove Google’s suite from them.
