We wrote about the ultra affordable ASUS MeMo Pad 7 ME70CX here and we were wondering if it was coming to come to IFA 2014. Now it appears that the device is official, since you can find it on the official ASUS Taiwan site, with accessories, price and everything.
By converting the Taiwanese currency, we figure out that this model costs exactly $100. Specs aren’t half bad and they include a 7 inch 1024 x 600 pixel display, an Intel Atom Z2520 1.2 GHz processor, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. There’s also the dual core SGX544MP2 GPU servicing your gaming needs and at the back we’ve got what seems to be a 2 megapixel camera with F/2.8 aperture.
ASUS incorporated its Pixelmaster camera technology on the device, including cool features like Depth of field and Time Rewind. You also get an All Smile selfie feature and an Eraser mode, to remove unwanted people from your pics. There’s ASUS SonicMaster audio technology on board and a 3220 mAh battery inside, good enough for about 8 hours of video playback. Zen UI is applied on top of KitKat and we also get ASUS WebStorage cloud space, 5 GB worth of it.
You can buy the slate here in Taiwan.
