Barely a few days after we let you know that Amazon started selling the brand new Archos 5 Internet tablet, it turns out that the device has some flaws, so it was pulled out by the online retailer. Amazon has stopped taking orders for the 160GB version of the Android tablet and mentions that the item is “under review”.
However, they mention that it could also be an issue with the description of the device or the shipment method, but hardware of software bugs are also worth taking into account. You can still order the 32GB version, while the 500GB one is up for pre-order, so one can only hope that the current issues will be solved faster.
A firmware update would also come in handy from Archos, specially since reviews of the tablet are pretty mixed and not everyone’s content.
