Adobe Photoshop Express is now available on Windows 8 and Windows RT, if you feel like doing some editing on your Surface tablet. There’s already a Photoshop app on iOS and Android and it’s looking pretty hot, so why not have one on Windows RT and Windows 8.
Photoshop Express supports Adobe Revel, a cloud service and its features include the basic editing tools (crop, straighten, rotate, flip, remove red eye), as well as autofix. Color controls for exposure, contrast, clarity and vibrance are included and 15 color filters can be applied. There are two in app purchases available, that can add 20 creative filters for $2.99 and a Noise Reduction pack for $4.99.
The noise filter will eliminate the grain that high ISO images have associated. The main application is available for free and the UI is very intuitive, as shown in the screenshots here. It may no be Photoshop CS, but it’ll do on a tablet on the go. RAW image file support is sadly lacking from here. You can get the app right here, from the Windows Store.
